Fairmont Celebrate Trails Day
Celebrate Trails Day is an annual celebration of America’s trails started by the Rails to Trails Conservancy.
You’re invited to join a Celebrate Trails Day event on the Marion County Trail (MCTrail)! Events will be held at both the Prickett’s Fork & the Winfield Street Trailheads. Enjoy fitness classes and a group run/walk, a scavenger hunt for kids, and more! There will be drinks, snacks, and freebies, too.

Trail Care Thursday - Eliza Furnace
Trail Care
Join us on the Eliza Furnace section of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for a Trail Care Thursday opportunity!
Volunteers will:
Collect litter along the trail and surrounding areas
Remove stickers and graffiti from amenities
Cut vines or undesired vegetation
Other general trail maintenance needs
Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and layered sleeves to be removed. Monitor the forecast and dress for the weather, we will work through light to moderate rain. Bring a reusable water bottle, water will not be available. All other project supplies and equipment will be provided.

Connellsville to Dunbar Winter Ride
Connellsville to Dunbar Winter Ride
Join Bryan Perry, Executive Director of the Great Allegheny Passage Conservancy, for an out-and-back winter bike ride from Connellsville to Dunbar.
This route is 7.6 miles in total, and we'll aim to enjoy sections of the GAP and the Sheepskin Trail, ending at Kickstand Kitchen for lunch. As long as it's above 20F at 11:00 am, this ride is on!
Meet outside Connellsville Canteen. Bring your own bicycle and come prepared for winter weather.

Heart Trails Day and Neighborhood Night at Wiles Hill Community Center
Heart Trails Day and Neighborhood Night at Wiles Hill Community Center
BOPARC (Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners) and the Mon River Trails Conservancy are partnering for a full day of love for the rail-trails!
Enjoy making fused glass trees and linocut valentines at Studio 287, tasting Eureka Cafe treats, watching From Rails to Trails, the PBS documentary on the rail-trail movement, and nurturing your health with talks with a doctor. Your valentine creations will be used to help spread the love for the rail-trails and will be displayed at the WV Outdoor Economy Summit and Outdoor Recreation Day at the Capitol later in February. The fused glass trees will be on loan for the month of February. You can either donate them or arrange pick up in March.
Registration is not required, but the art activities will be limited to 16 people per session.
